Gustavo Piera, a navigator and HR consultant, has created a decalogue to apply to both the company and a sailboat:
Don’t be a weather vane and finish everything you start. Don’t live by impulses and when you embark on something, dedicate yourself to it in body and soul.
This is true, many entrepreneurs are able to start a project with all the energy of the world, but we are also able to do the same with another project without having finished this…
Meet your team and let them meet you. Don’t be afraid to damage your image and share everything you know with them. You will ensure the success and growth of all.
Being aware of who you are and what you transmit is not a simple thing, but if you want the team to be that, team, the leader must be one more.
Look in the mirror: know your emotions and learn to control your reactions. “I am like that” is no excuse. You’re who you want to be.
Have a vision for the future, dream and be proactive. Take initiative and don’t wait for your future to come, believe it. One day you’ll become and be where you dreamed.
Right, you won’t be able to melt those mountains if you do not try and before that if you do not you imagine it and believe it!
To change is to improve develop and grow. To change is to be alive. Be flexible, open your mind, and in the midst of difficulty you will find your chance.
The proverb says that rectifying is wise….
Don’t take things for granted. Don’t be ashamed or lazy to ask. You’ll know a lot more and make a lot of mistakes.
Pay attention to others. Tell them what they do well and, constructively, recognize what can be improved. Self-esteem depends on it.
Being empathetic when you’re the one pulling the car is complicated, especially if your plans don’t unfold the way you’d like… but to think that the team is to blame is a mistake. This point is one of the best, if you encourage your team, even if you see how your plans are destroyed, you will get them to be better and more capable next time… and you’ll prevent them from making the mistake twice.
You won’t be able to understand the attitude of others until you wear their shoes. When someone talks to you, leave it all and listen. Invest time to earn the trust of others.
Communicating with intensity is taking care of tone, shape and gestures as much as words. Above all, always look for the right time.
Learn to give value to things: everything has its positive and negative part. Learn from mistakes and grow with successes.
In short, a decalogue to learn!!!
